Top Labor Day Sales
Shop Gap for casual wear and basics. I love their jeans and button-down shirts, which are on sale right now for $47 and $39, respectively. These aren’t the ultra-budget price points you’ll find at fast fashion retailers, but the merchandise should last.
Here are the sale details: 40% off all regular-priced jeans, sweats, active wear and t-shirts, plus an additional 10% off. Sale styles are marked down an additional 50%. Shop the Gap sale here and use code TREAT until September 5th.
2. Chico off the rack
Chico’s, and its outlet store Chico’s off the Rack, have done much to shed the “old lady” image of the past. You still won’t find racy bodies at this retailer, but you can find lovely cashmere sweaters, midi dresses, and cute, patterned ankle pants.
Save 30% at Chico’s off the Rack this weekend for fab deals on tops, pants, jeans and dresses. My pick is $63 for the faux suede all over jacket.
3. The White House is the black market
WHBM, Chico’s sister store, has a smaller, but still tasteful atmosphere. I love their line-up, but I don’t shop at WHMB a lot – mostly because the regular prices are a touch out of my comfort zone. Oh, but when Labor Day offers 50% savings…that’s the perfect time to buy.
Most sale items are spring and summer pieces, but who cares? The styles are classic enough that you can easily wear them next year if you live in a four-season climate.
Shop WBHM’s Labor Day Sale here.
Modcloth is, or should be, your favorite place to shop for sweet midi dresses and A-line skirts. The vintage-inspired retailer certainly has a quirky collection, but it might be just what you need to showcase your personal style.
For Labor Day, clothing is 30% off full price and sale items are 40% off. Use code YAY30 now through September 5. Shop all Labor Day sale items here.
Bloomy’s is another store that usually offers more than budget fashionistas. But you can’t beat a Bloomingdale’s sale to pick up an investment coat or pair of trousers at a discount.
This weekend, look for clothing marked down an extra 30% — pop them in your cart for the price drop. This sale ends on September 5. You can also find women’s denim 40% to 60% off through September 9.

If you’re in the market for a new bag or pouch, shop Michael Kors this weekend The brand’s best-selling pink tote bag has been marked down from $348 to a very friendly $59. Many other styles sell for under $100.
If you see something you like on the sale page, use code LDW25 for an extra 25% off The sale will continue until September 5.

It’s hard not to include Macy’s in any post about sales. Department stores are constantly offering some discounts. Sometimes I wonder how they make any money.
I love Macy’s for business casual separates — things like blouses, shell tops, blazers and cardigans. These are workhorse pieces of clothing that you can use to dress up or dress up as needed.
To save at Macy’s this Labor Day weekend, use code LABOR for an extra 20% – through September 5th. Shop sale items here.
8. JC Penney
If you can’t find the casual separates you need at Macy’s, try JC Penney. You have to scroll past some awkward Worthington brand trousers, but that’s okay. Beneath those shapeless trousers, you can find cute boyfriend jeans, versatile tanks and cute blouses for $25 or less.
Shop the JC Penney Labor Day Sale here. Use code HARDWORK for 20% off and an additional 10% off Sale ends September 5.
You have to choose a good target sale. This weekend, the “Summer Send-Off Sale” brings you 30% savings on shoes, women’s clothing, select kids’ clothing and more. You can buy a few things for yourself and pick up a few holiday or birthday gifts at the same time.
Shop the Target sale now through September 5th.
Talbots like Chico’s cater to a more mature audience. I’m sure I fall into their target demographic, but some parts may look boring to me. I usually scroll past the pants and shop Talbots for sweaters and blouses.
Still, Talbots makes this list because of its Labor Day sale with mark-downs of up to 70% off on sale items. Regular price styles are 25% off. For those discounts, I’m willing to scroll through to find the right deal.
Shop the Talbots Labor Day Sale through September 5.
LOFT’s Labor Day sale is all about patterned casual tops and dresses. Many sales items will be most effective with added levels or when the sun comes out again next year.
As a budget-minded woman, I hope you’re comfortable shopping the off-season — especially when you can save up to 75% off retail. Big discounts are in style, but even regular-priced merchandise is 30% off
Use code YAY and shop LOFT’s Labor Day Sale through September 5th.
Madewell’s collection is highly wearable and designed with durability in mind. The price point and quality of the Madewell line-up puts this piece in the “investment buy” category. Fortunately, the styles are classic and tasteful enough to be usable for the long haul.
This weekend, Madewell sale items have been marked down an additional 40% to 50%. Use code LONGWEEKEND and shop through September 6.
From the skinny to the classic 501, no one does denim better than Levi’s. And did you know Levis.com sells tops and sweaters — $30 or $40 a piece? That’s right.
Prices are even lower this weekend. levis.com’s entire collection is 30% off and kids’ clothing is marked down 40%. If ever there was a better way to combat clothing inflation, it’s shopping for the whole family at levis.com this weekend.
